Born in Kenya and moving to England at the age of 14, Jay left school to join the Armed Corps serving in Germany and Northern Ireland. After leaving the army, Jay became a AFI and later a CFI(X rated - meaning he can instruct and take GST's(General Skill Test) operating 2 microlight flying schools in Hertfordshire(see Jay Airsports). Jay lives in Barnet and his chosen charity is the Starlight Ward at Barnet General Hospital.
After completing 2 years national service in England, Dave became a bookbinder by trade and later started a small printing business. After retiring at the age of 57, he bought his first house in Cyprus in 1985, moving permanently to Cyprus 10 years ago. Dave Armstrong is also the head of the Cyprus Microlight Club which reports directly to the Cypriot CAA for air safety. Daves chosen charity is the Margarita Liasidou School for Handicapped Children.
